5 Secrets On How To Study Smarter
The decision by your son or daughter to join the military, can be a shock to you as a parent, or you will feel a sense of pride that your child was mature enough to even think about military service. Military service could be what some teens need, to gain a sense of discipline, pride and some direction in their lives. Are there things better than the military? Of course, there are plenty of options, but you need to find out why your teen chose this one. When your child comes to you stating their intentions, the one this you don’t want to do it panic and then forbid them. How do you handle it? What do you do or say?
Like with any bible study there are a few things that you want to be aware of. You want to make sure that the author is credible. You want to make sure that they are a good writer but more importantly that they have solid beliefs and theology. Often this can be found out by doing some quick background research online and through informal questioning with those that you trust. You also want to make sure that you choose a bible pay for essay curriculum that covers a book that works well for your group.
Once you hit the teen years encourage your teen to start selecting the type of volunteer work he wants to do. Don’t make it a chore! If over the years you have worked hard to instill these traits, he should willingly make time for these activities. The amazing bit is that once teens get a taste of volunteering, they love it! Volunteering makes them feel empowered and grown up. There is research that supports that teen volunteering increases self esteem. On top of it all, the memories they make can be treasured for a lifetime.
What habit do I want to change right now? Once your teen has completed the list above, ask him/her to pick the habit s/he is most interested in changing. This habit can be small or big, most important or least important. Start with the habit of your teen’s choice.your child will get to the others soon enough if dedicated.
Let your teen know this doesn’t mean s/he can’t talk to other people who don’t have these qualities and characteristics. Encourage your teen to be friendly with everyone, BUT his or her closest friends should have most of the qualities they listed above.
Do whatever you like with your writing afterwards – carry it around with you, store it somewhere safe, or throw it out. Each action will make an impact on how you mentally ‘tag’ the piece of writing. Is it to be cherished? Is it important? Do you want it out of your life?
I challenge you to think a little deeper. Is it that you want to show your readers that they really are capable of doing things that they might not have thought they could? Maybe you want to empower your readers with a sense of self-accomplishment.
Almost every good writer started off as an avid reader and learned by imitation. Today I earn an income as a nonfiction business writer, but my original inspiration to write came from reading things like DC and Marvel Comics, the novelization of Star Wars, The Hobbit, and Stephen King novels. Fiction remains my preferred mode, and I go back to certain authors periodically to draw inspiration and study techniques. Read authors who can motivate you, teach you, and refresh you when you need a break from commercial writing.
Take about 10 minutes before your session and write some notes about what you want to write about. Write down a few things in case you blow through the first one before your time is up. Ask yourself what piece you’re writing. Are you writing a blog post? Or are you writing a chapter for your new book?
On Friday, I’ll begin by reviewing and revising Thursdays work on chapters 8 and 9. Then I’ll write chapter 10. The concluding chapter follows this. This chapter is always half the size of the preceding chapters. I will do a very quick review of my feelings about the book to this point, and then write the introduction. Again, the introduction is really only a half the size of the other chapters. At this point, I usually take a break which may last an hour or so or may last for the rest of the day.
Imbue your teen with etiquette. Teach your teen sons to open doors for the ladies, etc. Each teen is to be respectful not only of the other but of the other’s family. Two mothers looked at each other in utter disbelief, when teen girls on their way to the school prom arrived at the house of one of the teen boys and did not even greet the parents of the boy who were with him waiting for the entire group to arrive! And at no time during the forty minute wait for the limo to arrive was a word said to the parents!
